The mornings of Navigator Levels 1 and 2 courses take place in the comfort of a village
hall, with regular coffee breaks, enabling pupils to absorb tuition easier rather
than facing the elements.

Using an Inter-active PowerPoint presentation, covering all aspects of navigation,
pupils will be introduced, in a ‘hands-on’ format, to Ordnance Survey mapping and
the Silva Expedition 4 compass.
After coffee, we will study various Navigational techniques, including grid references,
bearings, map orientation, handrails, magnetic variation etc.
Lunch Break- Tea and coffee provided.
After lunch we go out onto the Moor to put into practice skills and tactics learnt
during the morning session.
Return to hall for refreshments and prepare route for next day (totally on the Moor,
where pupils practice all skills and techniques).
The Course is run in a friendly and relaxed manner and clients input and questions
are most welcome.
During breaks you will have plenty of time to browse the Compassworks Shop.
